■Electrically-driven injection pressure intensification

  • Electric intensification structure
    With a hydraulic mechanism, oil from a pressure accumulator is used to move the piston to increase pressure.
    By contrast, the electric intensification pressure unit uses a servomotor to operate a pressurizing rod to increase pressure. Servomotor drive control makes possible pressure compensation and multi-stage intensification operation.
  • The graphic of injection movement and pressurization performance
    The number of cavities in castings can be reduced since improved pressurization performance, made possible by a lighter-weight electric drive unit and optimized control, means pressure can be transferred before the molten metal solidifies.
  • Advantages of multi-stage intensification injection
    With a hydraulic drive, the pressurization speed and maximum pressure cannot be varied during intensification operation. With electric intensification, the pressure can be varied freely during pressurization based on the solidification status of the molten metal. This capability is likely to be effective when casting workpieces with complex shapes whose thickness varies.

    Servomotor-based drive control delivers higher stopping accuracy than to hydraulic models.
  • High-cycle performance
    Servomotor-based drive control offers excellent acceleration and deceleration, allowing die to be opened and closed more
    quickly while limiting mechanical shock. Die opening and closing, ejection, and core drive source use independent systems,
    allowing composite operation. Composite operation allows cycle times to be reduced.
  • Load monitoring function
    Servomotor load monitoring generates alarms in the event of anomalies like unanticipated ejection resistance values,  allowing the machine to be stopped to minimize die damage.

■Great energy savings

  • Electricity-powered for energy savings
    High energy efficiency helps reduce CO2 emissions.
  • Electricity-powered for lower hydraulic fluid use
    Electric motor drive machines use less hydraulic fuid than their hydraulic counterparts since only the injection unit is  hydraulically powered. This design helps protect the environment by lowering waste hydraulic fluid volume.

■Space-saving design

Space-saving design features a vertical configuration for the intensifation pressure unit and a more compact power unit than the previous model.
