The MDO is designed as a two-chamber model and all spare and wear parts are compatible to the previous generation.
The two-chamber-design makes it possible to hold a constant melt level in the pump chamber.Therefore the casting conditions remain stable.
Up to a size with a maximum melting rate of 1,200 kg/h (2,400 lb/h) the MDO are equipped with electric heatings or gas fired. The heatings and their control as well as the protective gas
supply are separate for melt chamber and pump chamber.
Melt energy and holding loss has been reduced by the use of the most advanced insulation material.

The furnaces can be equipped with upward or downward dosing systems for shot weights from 0,2 kg (0,4 lb) up to 30 kg (60 lb) and more per dosing cycle. In combination with our LPS
system with pump compensation a shot accuracy of +/- 0,75 % of the shot weight will be achieved (depending on the operating conditions).
